About Us
The HEARtS lab is committed to taking a social-ecological approach to improve health outcomes among vulnerable and underserved communities affected by chronic illness, with a focus on cardiovascular disease. Research in this lab explores the social, cultural, and medical contexts that shape health behaviors (e.g., physical activity) and informs the development of culturally-informed interventions that incorporate multiple levels (e.g., individual- and family-levels).
